La Serena and Mamalluca Observatory Album

We traveled on a modern couch bus for about 6 hours from Santiago to La Serena. The pacific ocean appered and the land became drier. We had a nice dinner by the beach. The next day we visited CTIO (see the Cerro Tololo Observatory album) then to the Mamalluca Observatory near the small town of Vacuna. There we saw the southern sky for the first time. I tried a picture of the greater Magellanic cloud.
